Hussar was established as a Closed Corporation in 2008 with the specific view of developing armoured personnel carrier services to clients with extraordinary high-risk profiles. In 2014 Hussar expanded this portfolio to include unmanned aircraft services. With legislation being introduced on unmanned systems in 2015, Hussar became heavily invested in the processes of government/industry interaction. Due to the prohibitive nature of unmanned aircraft systems legislation at the time, Hussar developed alternative strategies and embarked on a consultative mission dealing with clients who required airborne surveillance.
